IBC Exhibition Stand Design Awards

The IBC exhibition is where the vendors, manufacturers, and developers from around the world come to showcase their latest offerings.

In an industry as diverse as ours, IBC helps visitors by theming the exhibition, so visitors interested in a particular branch of technology should find the relevant stands close by each other. These zones and strands are backed up through signage and wayfinding.

Exhibitors, too, play their part by building visually striking, product/service orientated and accessible stands which makes it clear what their products or services do and why they are exciting. A good stand will use the company’s branding to create attractive and informative environments.

IBC celebrates the amazing and varied skills of the designer and team with a group of awards. A team of judges tours the entire show floor – exhibitors do not need to enter as every single stand will be considered.

On Saturday, the jury – made up of buyers, sellers, and engineers as well as marketers – will announce its shortlist of up to 40 finalists, who will each receive promotional boards for the stand to boost their own marketing.

The winners will be notified on Sunday morning and will be presented with their awards at the IBC Awards Reception, in room E102 at 18.30 on Sunday evening. Everyone is welcome at this reception, to celebrate all the IBC Award winners, in technology, social responsibility and achievement.

Because of the huge range of presence, there are three IBC2022 Exhibition Stand Design Awards:

Smallest Stands (below 20sqm) WINNER: M2A Media

This awards looks to honour the largest stands – over 100sqm.  This award looks to see how this increased space is used, the stand’s prominence and its link to the overall company brand.

Judges’ Award for Stand Design Innovation WINNER: Atomos

Atomos used new recyclable material; light weight aluminium frames that can be re-used and back-lit fabric (silicon-edged) that is recyclable.

New to IBC this year and reflecting the use of cutting-edge technology and psychology in exhibitions, the jury will also present a Judges’ Award for Stand Design Innovation. Again, there is no need to enter – all stands are eligible and will be considered.
