IBC will not tolerate harassment of event attendees in any form. All attendees are expected to comply with our guidelines to promote a respectful and positive environment and experience for the duration of the event, including social events and online.
1. Purpose The purpose of this policy is to ensure a professional, safe, positive, and harassment-free environment for all individuals involved in IBC events, whether in-person or online. This policy applies to all attendees, staff, exhibitors, sponsors, speakers, delegates, press, and contractors.
2. Code of Conduct All attendees are expected to:

Treat others with respect and professionalism.

Avoid inappropriate, disruptive, or abusive behaviour.

Comply with IBC’s anti-harassment guidelines and dress code.

Follow all venue rules, safety protocols, and event regulations.

Report any concerns or violations promptly.
3. Anti-Harassment Policy Harassment in any form will not be tolerated. This includes:

Offensive verbal comments or gestures related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, or religious beliefs.

The use of sexualized materials, content, or images in or around the venue or on social media.

Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or inappropriate photography.

Unwelcome physical contact and sexual attention or gestures.

Inappropriate dress of a sexualized nature.

Possession or display of a weapon or item used to threaten/intimidate
4. Dress Code Policy All staff and exhibitors must adhere to a business or business-casual dress code. Sexualized clothing, uniforms, or costumes that could create an offensive or inappropriate environment are prohibited. If attire is deemed inappropriate, individuals may be asked to change or leave the premises.
5. Reporting and Response Procedure If a violation of the Code of Conduct occurs, attendees are encouraged to report the incident:

In person to an IBC staff member or at the IBC Organiser’s Office.

In case of emergencies, contact local law enforcement at the designated emergency numbers.
Reports will be handled confidentially and escalated as necessary to the appropriate IBC personnel for further action.
6. Internal Escalation and Response Plan IBC has a dedicated Response Team responsible for:

Determining appropriate actions to prevent further harm.

Allocating responsibilities for resolving issues.

Communicating decisions transparently while maintaining confidentiality.
7. Complaint Management Process Complaints will be handled in a structured manner:

Communication of the outcome to the complainant.

8. Pre-Show and Onsite Communication

The Code of Conduct will be included in the event registration process.

It will be displayed within the E-Zone.

It will be displayed on the IBC website and in exhibitor communications.

Signage will be placed throughout the venue detailing the reporting process.

Trained staff will be available onsite to handle complaints.
9. Sustainability and Responsible Consumption

Attendees are encouraged to use sustainable travel and waste disposal methods.

Responsible alcohol and substance use is required to maintain a safe event environment.

Venue policies regarding smoking, vaping, and alcohol consumption must be followed.
10. Compliance and Enforcement Failure to adhere to this policy may result in:

Revocation of event passes without refund.

Removal from the event premises.

Further legal action if necessary.
