The Hackfest Dry Run

The IBC x Google Cloud Hackfest journey has officially begun with a high-energy dry run event in London.

Teams from ITV, Channel 4, RTÉ and Sky came together for a day of rapid-fire innovation, creative problem-solving and AI-powered development. The session tested core elements of the upcoming Hackfest challenge and concluded with each team showcasing their results as a glimpse into the groundbreaking ideas we can expect this September.

The dry run confirmed what we already knew: this isn’t your average hackathon. It’s an opportunity to sharpen your skills and innovate at the speed of AI, developing real-world solutions in a broadcast tech stack, collaborating with peers, and creating with generative AI.
