Graduated from the success from the 2024 Accelerator “AI Media Production Labs”, IBC’s brand-new Incubator for 2025 cranked it up a gear and aimed to create a fully working MVP test bed to personalize highlight reels and real-time sports data tailored to an individual fan, based on their preferences and interactions.

With an increasing demand for authentic, real-time media experiences, and personalized content, delivery is more important than ever before, especially with sports, where fans struggle to keep up with an overwhelming amount of content. Custom highlight reels and real-time statistics will ensure that fans receive the most relevant updates on their favorite teams, players, and matchups, keeping them informed in a way that aligns with their unique preferences.

The Challenge goal was to create this MVP with the opportunity for fans to engage with a virtual sports companion, providing a more immersive and interactive way to consume live sports content.

Kickstart Pitch:

The Results:

For 2025, this year’s Incubator team truly pushed the boundaries of real-time personalization and refined the experience with enhanced features such as custom overlays, localized content, contextual updates, insights and dynamic camera angles.

To achieve this, this international team engineered AI and ML to build a bespoke system that gathered audience insights from a football match provided by Champions BFBS, and crafted the experience around conversational input, written preferences, or interactive viewing experiences, to dynamically shape the content the fans would receive.

This project took personalization to the next level by focusing on seamless integration, real-time responsiveness, and an improved user interface, setting a new standard for AI-driven sports broadcasting.
