
With a strong background in engineering and project management, James brings over 20 years of experience coordinating complex, cross-disciplinary live broadcasts. His career began with early training in broadcast operations and engineering along with BBC Outside Broadcast, leading to roles supporting major events and clients including Wimbledon, Formula 1, the Olympic Games, and The Telegraph Media Group, to name a few.
In 2011, James co-founded Multilink Broadcast, where he acts as Projects Director, overseeing technical design, deployment, logistics, customer liaison, and overall project management. His recent work includes overseeing design and managing the delivery onsite for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, project managing and deploying the Paris 2024 Olympics broadcast integration, managing technical integrations and improvements for Formula E, and maintaining technical infrastructure for enterprise clients.

As an active consultant, analyst and blogger, Ben is recognised as an international thought leader in the converging media space. After ten years in IT at Logica CMG, he became CTO of a music start-up during the Internet bubble. Ben spent the next ten years in telecoms, with Orange, aligning strategy to a world with the Internet. He ran innovation programs launching several media-based services including the operator’s first music streaming service and IPTV in Europe and Africa.
Matthew is Vice President, Marketing at Appear, with responsibility for marketing programmes, brand management and corporate communications. Matt has been exhibiting at IBC for many years, with 20 years’ experience working within the broadcast, media technology and telecommunications industries. Prior to Appear, Matt held various B2B marketing positions at Arqiva, ITV, Red Bee Media and the BBC.
Russell Trafford-Jones is a writer and technology evangelist with a background in contribution, compression and live sports production. As vice-chair of the IET Media Technical Network, Russell works to promote education and diversity within the broadcast industry. His website, The Broadcast Knowledge, educates by bringing together all the industry’s explanatory videos in to once place.
Natasha is a Technical Specialist for BT Media & Broadcast, providing support to the sales team by designing solutions for the contribution & distribution of video content, globally.
Tia is a highly creative and collaborative marketing leader with over nine years of experience. Since joining Gravity Media in 2018 as a Digital Marketing Executive, she has taken on multiple roles to become the Global Marketing Lead where she recently led the successful global launch of Gravity Media's new brand identity.
Toby leads the operational management and service delivery for those broadcast partners who have the rights to Formula E. He is responsible for managing contracts for production partners and also for procurement of services such as specialist cameras and media management systems.
