Pedro Centieiro

I'm one of the co-founders and the CEO of Magycal, a company created by leading digital media experts to revolutionise the way people connect and interact with digital content, television shows and live events.
Previously serving as COO, I led daily operations and was responsible for overseeing the user experience across all Magycal products, ensuring alignment between business goals, product design, and user engagement. Today, as CEO, I focus on shaping our long-term vision, expanding our international footprint, creating a culture of innovation and excellency, as we continue to develop fan engagement solutions, cutting-edge second-screen platforms, and immersive digital experiences for major brands in sports and entertainment.
I hold a PhD in Computer Science from NOVA LINCS (FCT-UNL). My doctoral research focused on how to design and implement second screen applications to enhance the experience of remote spectators watching live broadcasted sports, and how to apply it to live TV shows and e-sports. This work laid the foundation for many of the principles and features now present in Magycal products.
