RAI Venue Information

The RAI is one of the leading international exhibition and congress centre's in Europe located in the south of Amsterdam. The international airport, Schiphol, which has direct flights to over 200 cities in 97 countries is ten minutes from the RAI station by train.

The Amsterdam RAI Exhibition and Congress Centre is situated next to Amsterdam’s A10 orbital motorway (exit S 109). The RAI is most easily accessible by tram, taxi and airport/hotel shuttle. For more information on these forms of travel please click here.


The BeachAmsterdam RAI provides a selection of the finest restaurants, cafes, and tasty snack bars. Self-service catering is also available in several locations. A unique city beach restaurant also lies between Amsterdam RAI and the Beatrix Park called 'The Beach'. On the first floor of the Amsterdam RAI is an elegant a la carte restaurant. The restaurant is characterised by its international cuisine, an extensive wine list and a wonderful view. The Roast Room offers a unique meat eating experience and is located in the low-rise area of the new RAI Amtrium building. Surrounded by the craftsmanship, open kitchens with Beech ovens and the sturdy, yet classically designed interior, you can enjoy the best cuts of meat, burgers, charcuterie and sausages from the restaurant’s own butcher's shop. Getting There

Trams & Buses

Amsterdam has an extensive network of trams, buses and metros (subways). You can get to any destination within the city centre from another in less than an hour. They are frequent and free for IBC visitors with the free GVB public transport pass which can be picked up from any of the information points.

The RAI has its own train station and is less than 10 minutes from Schiphol Airport by rail. You can buy train tickets from the yellow ticket machines or at the ticket offices, both are located close to the platforms.

Licensed taxis in Amsterdam are generally modern and comfortable. Taxis can either be hailed or found at RAI’s main entrance. A taxi to Schiphol Airport can take up to 30 minutes and costs around €40.00.

Inexpensive, good fun and probably the fastest way to travel - Amsterdam is renowned for its abundant cyclists and bikes are available for rent at most railway stations, bike dealers or rental agencies in town.

Parking at the RAI

Are you planning to come to Amsterdam by car? Remember that you can book and purchase your parking ticket in advance. This way, you are assured a parking space, and, having paid already, can easily enter and exit the parking garage without pauses or delays. RAI Amsterdam charges a 24 hour rate regardless of how long you park.

The RAI Amsterdam aim to provide full access to all the facilities within the venue and recognise that less able visitors may require extra assistance. If you have any queries about access or would like to reserve a wheelchair please visit the  RAI website for more information. IBC will grant any accompanying carers the same badge type free of charge. Please contact in order to arrange this.

Information Points

There are Information Points located throughout the RAI complex as well as dedicated hostesses on the exhibition floor to provide all the information you need about IBC, the RAI and Amsterdam in general.


IBC provides secure cloakroom facilities for all attendees. These are situated by the main registration points. Please remember to bring change with you; €2.00 per coat and €3.00 per luggage item.

Religious Needs

IBC will, wherever possible, accommodate religious needs where the timing of the event causes difficulties for attendees. A quiet/prayer room with washing facilities is situated in the Passage under the Elicium.
