Holly Schiffer

Holly Schiffer is Vice President, Post Production, West Coast Production, for Home Box Office, responsible for overseeing post production of original series, films, and miniseries for the network. Holly joined HBO in 2001 and was named to her current position in August 2006. During her tenure, she has served as post production executive for a number of Emmy®-nominated and winning HBO and Cinemax films, series, and miniseries, including Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, The Knick, The Normal Heart, Angels in America, John Adams, Muhammad Ali’s Greatest Fight, Cinema Verite, Temple Grandin, The Gathering Storm, Lackawanna Blues, Path to War, Normal, Five Days, Tsunami, Generation Kill, Starter for 10, Gus Van Zant’s Last Days and Elephant, and Steven Soderbergh’s groundbreaking show Mosaic, which was accompanied with a choose-your-own-adventure style app. In 2011 – 2017, Schiffer received honors for contributions to the Emmy® award-winning achievements of Outstanding Visual Effects on Game of Thrones. Prior to HBO, she worked in post production on the feature films Mighty Joe Young, Inspector Gadget, and X-Men, as well as Steven Spielberg’s television show High Incident. Schiffer is a member of the Visual Effects Society and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
Currently Schiffer is supervising Game of Thrones, Chernobyl, and the Game of Thrones prequel. She also teaches Post Production at USC’s Graduate Film Producing Program. She received her undergraduate degree from Bennington College and her MFA from USC’s Peter Stark Producing Program.
