In 2019 IBC are excited to provide a new area dedicated for startups - the 'Next Gen Hub'

The Next Gen Hub is a meeting place for startups and students to meet with industry leaders, to get direct advice on shaping careers and to hear directly from entrepreneurs about how they developed their business ideas.

There is a fun program of interactive workshops that will look at issues such as diversity and inclusion in the workplace, and tips for finding a mentor.

Not only is the Next Gen Hub a fun place for startups to meet, it’s also a comfortable lounge where you can hang out, have a drink after-hours with other startups from around Europe and network.

    • What are your goals? What do I want to achieve by the end of my visit?  
  • Be as strategic as possible
    • Be prepared for your meetings, know the venue and scope out a good meeting point

    • Keep an eye on social media and see who is talking about IBC
    • Are these people you want to meet?  
  • How to best pinpoint companies you are targeting
    • Understand what companies look for in a strategic partner & make sure your needs are aligned with theirs
    • Do your research and due diligence, look at companies’ portfolios and what type of companies they have invested in

How to perfect your pitch

  • Be yourself! Establish trust and credibility quickly
    • You, your background, your vision and your passion are just as important as the company and product you are trying to build
  • A big market can amplify the smallest innovation
    • Your product’s impact will be measured by the size of the market opportunity, not just by the uniqueness of your innovation
  • No detail is too small. Be prepared!
