Tormod Ringnes is one of the most accomplished sound designers in Europe today. Having worked on pretty much all the major Norwegian and part of North Europe film productions of the last decade.
He has won the prestigious Norwegian Amanda Academy award for Best Sound Design three times, and one of the biggest Norwegian project Kon-Tiki has been nominated for Best Foreign Film at Oscar Academy Awards and the Satellite Award for best sound. He has been working on large International films with award winning directors such as Wim Wenders and Thomas Arslan and on major Disney productions like The Pirates of Caribbean and Maleficent Mistress of Evil. This Year he was MPSE and BAFTA Nominated for best sound on the EA game Battlefield V.
Tormods key to success is the close communication with the director. For him it is very important be involved at very early stage of production to create the perfect storytelling, interpretation of emotions and combine superior craftsmanship with artistic sensibility.
