Robin is Client Partner for UK digital agency Joi Polloi, who specialises in creative technology and digital content for the broadcast, media and cultural industries.
Before joining Joi Polloi, Robin worked within the BBC across R&D and BBC Creative, and he was Market Engagement Manager for the BBC’s Digital Innovation initiative, Connected Studio. He has more than a decade of broadcast sector-specific experience and, at Joi Polloi, leads on partnership working with clients including Channel 4, the BBC and the wider production sector.
Robin has helped to connect a broad range of productions to captivate audiences through digital innovations. He was responsible for developing the BBC’s first AR lens marketing campaign for 'Peaky Blinders’ and the award-winning ‘My Glasto’ digital campaign for BBC Music.
Robin specialises in developing partnerships with organisations early on in the creative process when there is a desire to bridge the void between ‘business as usual’ activities and doing something new and innovative.
He brings strategic and analytical perspective, combined with heaps of digital know-how and an appetite to develop first-to-market strategies that integrate digital platforms into media, cultural and broadcast productions and experiences.
At IBC 2019, Robin will reflect on Joi Polloi’s experience delivering the digital platform that powered Channel 4’s groundbreaking reality tv show, The Circle, and what he and the company learned to help make it bigger and better for the next series, coming this autumn.
He will get you thinking beyond the boundaries of the traditional intersection between broadcast and digital; pondering how you can use digital innovations to drive powerful marketing campaigns, deliver meaningful audience interactions and connect audiences to experiences, knowledge and entertainment.
Robin will explore with you how to take a ‘digital first’ approach, equipping you with the inspiration to transform early ideas into well-rounded concepts, ready to take to the commissioners.
