Peggy Schoenegge, curator and project manager, peer to space
Peggy Schoenegge has studied History of Art at Humboldt-University Berlin (DE), Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto (JP) and Technical University Berlin (DE). In addition to various galleries, she gained experience at Art Miami, Hamburger Bahnhof Berlin and Christian Jankowski's studio.
Since 2016 she has been part of peer to space, where she now works as a curator and project manager. Peggy organizes group exhibitions on the digital and post-digital age. She focuses on how the digital and the Internet change and shape our society and everyday life. In doing so, she concentrates on the artistic use of new media such as Virtual Reality or Augmented Reality and investigates how these can be staged in the exhibition context.
Peggy co-curated the exhibitions PENDORAN VINCI. Art and Artificial Intelligence Today (NRW Forum Düsseldorf, DE), SPECULATIVE CULTURES. A Virtual Reality Art Exhibition (Parsons Gallery at New School, NYC, US), SPECULATIVE SPECIES. VR Art in the Age of the Anthropocene (Espronceda, Barcelona, ESP) as well as the online exhibitions CAT HEROICUS SUBLIMIS and CLAIMING NEEDLES.
