Neha Hooda is a media practitioner, teacher and researcher. She is a doctoral researcher at the University of Debrecen, Hungary and has been a visiting research student at Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi. She is also the Executive Producer for Visual Effects at Pixstone Images India and responsible for the European market. She has worked extensively in visual effects for a decade on several international productions.
She combines her expertise and learnings from media industry with academic work. Her areas of research include films and television with a focus on content for children. With her research, she hopes to bridge the gap between content makers and content consumers. She lectures globally and champions the causes of media literacy, arts for a better world and women in media-technology. She speaks regularly on these topics and has presented her work at UNESCO Media Literacy Week Conference 2018 among other international engagements in India, Russia, Austria, Lithuania, Germany and Hungary.
In addition to her work in the space of media and education, she founded ART COLLECTIVE in the year 2014 to make arts more accessible and experiential to common people & encourage emerging artists.
