Leigh Whitcomb is an Architect for Imagine Communications, having joined the company in 1991. Leigh participates in the SMPTE, VSF and AIMS standards committees, including co-chair of SMPTE 32NF Network/Facilities Architecture Technology Committee and active involvement on SMPTE ST 2110 Professional Media over Managed IP Networks, the SMPTE ST 2022 family of standards and SMPTE ST 2059 Genlock Over IP. A 2017 SMPTE Fellow, Leigh’s other professional affiliations include VSF, IEEE and Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo and a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto. Leigh is the co-inventor of several patents in the area of timing and synchronization.
