Co-founder and CEO, Divideon
Jonatan Samuelsson is Co-founder and CEO of Divideon, a software development and technology licensing company. Divideon develops the open-source software-defined video codec xvc. Before starting up Divideon, Jonatan worked as researcher and project manager at Ericsson. He has a M.Sc. degree from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm and started working with video compression research and development in 2007. Jonatan was actively involved in the standardization of High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) and is currently contributing to the standardization of Versatile Video Coding (VVC) and to Essential Video Coding (EVC) where he is one of the editors of the standard. Jonatan has also contributed to standardization work in DVB, ATSC, IETF and 3GPP. Jonatan has been involved in setting up the Media Coding Industry Forum (MC-IF) and is serving as MC-IF Board Director and Chief Communications Officer.
