Jon Page heads technology strategy for the BBC. His function is responsible for establishing the BBC’s medium term technology needs for it to thrive in the long-term and ensure that the corporation in taking the right steps to out that technology in place. This function combines the insights generated by the BBC’s R&D function with the architectural insights held by the corporation’s architectural function.
Before joining the BBC, Jon was an investment director in the venture capital business, Imperial Innovations. Imperial Innovations worked with the UK’s leading universities to identify research with the potential to create valuable start-up business into which it would make investment. Prior to that Jon played a pivotal role in creating NetWest bank’s first e-commerce strategy and was a management consultant at Pricewaterhouse Coopers.
