Andy Patterson is a music editor, sound engineer and musician. His recent work as Music Editor on the Elton John biopic ‘Rocketman’ saw him working closely with director Dexter Fletcher and music producer Giles Martin on all aspects of the re-imagining of the 24 Elton John songs featured in the film, as well as managing pre-production, onset playbacks throughout the shoot, recording session preparation and post-production music editing, including the soundtrack album and DVD extras.
Andy was part of the Golden Reel nominated music editing team on Mel Gibson’s Hacksaw Ridge, worked on the critically acclaimed Netflix Original series ‘The Crown’ and is a part of the BAFTA winning sound team on ‘The XFactor’ and ‘Britain’s Got Talent’.
Andy is a “Tonmeister” alumni from the University of Surrey’s Music and Sound Recording course and still lives in the South East, despite his Northern roots. When he has any spare time after work and his two young sons, Andy loves a chat over a pint in the local social club.
