Andreas Waltenspiel advises PayTV/Telco operators as well as vendors on strategic topics such as IP licensing, contract design/negotiation and sales training. Having managed 150+ global technology partners for 10+ years in his role as General Manager Licensing and Partnerships at Nagra he connects customers with skills in his long-term trusted partner network – hence his motto: “Connecting the Dots – Connecting people”. His customers include Vodafone, HD Plus, Dotscreen, Optiva Media, Smardtv and more.
Prior to launching his own company Andreas was Director Business Development EMEA at Samsung’s STB and Gateway division. Andreas has been active in the digital TV industry since 2001 – consistently in roles at the interface of technology and business including Head of Receiver Strategy and Procurement for Premiere (now “Sky Germany”). Andreas holds a diploma in Physics from the Technical University of Munich and a diploma of Business Administration with specialization in Managing Innovation from Ludwig-Maximilians University Munich. He has also been a visiting fellow at Boston’s MIT Sloan School of Management and Harvard Business School focusing on Technology Strategy.
