Alberto worked in the media and publishing industry for several years before joining Applicaster as Director of Sales in 2018. He began in publishing in Milan, coordinating printed and digital book production, before moving to Microsoft where he headed digital marketing strategy for small business. Alberto then helped to launch and develop Fox Networks in Italy, with a focus on new video advertising formats for Fox and MySpace branded content platforms. Between 2012 to 2017 as the country manager he introduced Outbrain's content discovery model and native advertising to Italy. He was also invited to collaborate with the IAB on authoring new guidelines for native advertising. Since joining Applicaster, Mr. Mari has led the company in the Italian and south European markets and has recently relocated to London. He has a degree in Philosophy and is the author of several publications on digital music, publishing and online marketing.
