Tom Pickett is CEO of Ellation, a leading OTT video business focused on super-serving particular audiences. Ellation's products include Crunchyroll, a premium video service focused on Japanese Anime with over 1M paying subscribers, and VRV, a new audience focused subscription platform built for fans of anime, animation, gaming, comedy and geek culture. Ellation is funded by Otter Media, a joint venture between The Chernin Group and AT&T. Tom joined Ellation from Google where he was Vice President of Content and Operations for YouTube where he had responsibilities for global content partnerships, building a robust creator ecosystem, launching YouTube Spaces and scaling global content operations. Prior to Google, Tom was a Senior Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton and served as an Officer in the U.S. Navy as an F/A-18 pilot and “Top Gun” graduate reaching the rank of Lieutenant Commander. Tom received a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering with honors from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
