Tom has been Director of Broadcast and Distribution Technology at ITV since the end of 2015. Leading an in-house technology team, he is accountable for the technology strategy, systems development and operational support of ITV's internal technology platforms that support ITVs Broadcast and Content Distribution services, and for the technology developments delivered by ITVs Broadcast managed service providers. This includes Air Time Sales, Rights Management, Linear and Non-Linear Content Scheduling, IP Streaming & VOD Content Delivery, Broadcast Playout & Transmission. In his time at ITV, Tom has been responsible for the implementation of two new TV channels (ITV Encore & ITVBe); the modernisation of the content preparation & delivery systems for UK broadcast & VOD content (now processing & delivering over 8500 hours of platform-ready content per month in addition to the broadcast assets); re-engineering of the simulcast infrastructure for OTT delivery of ITVs linear channels to the ITV Hub and multiple syndicated partners; and is currently focussing on the transformation of ITVs content supply chain to unify the processes and technology across linear & non-linear distribution and international content sales and delivery, and the modernisation of ITV's Air Time Sales systems.
