Tim Deussen
Tim Deussen is Chairperson of XRBB – Extended Reality Berlin-Brandenburg e.V., an official partner of IBC 2026. In this role, he represents the immersive-media ecosystem of the Berlin-Brandenburg capital region and fosters collaboration among creative professionals, technology companies, research institutions, and cultural organizations. At IBC, he contributes to the Accelerator project FRAME, which explores responsible AI-powered workflows and new models of human–AI collaboration in media production.
He currently serves as a strategic advisor on the development of Studio Babelsberg’s AI strategy, helping one of Europe’s leading film-production locations navigate the creative, technological, and organizational opportunities presented by artificial intelligence.
Tim is also the founder and Creative Technologist of Studio Deussen, a Berlin-based creative studio specializing in AI, XR, virtual production, and immersive storytelling. His work examines how emerging technologies can expand cinematic language, reduce technical friction, and create new production pathways while preserving authorship, artistic intent, emotional depth, and cultural value.
Across his activities, Tim advocates for human-centered innovation and for production environments in which AI strengthens creative agency, interdisciplinary collaboration, and meaningful audience engagement.
