Thomas Bostrøm Jørgensen

Thomas Bostrøm Jørgensen joined Appear as CEO in January 2021, leading the charge to accelerate
growth and increase market share for Appear within the media-tech industry.
Thomas comes from the position as General Manager EMEA for Austin-based AllClear ID, a US leader
in customer security and identity protection. He joined AllClear through the acquisition of digital
identity software company Encap Security, a company he grew from a start-up to a VC-backed
industry leader, serving over 40 banks and fintech’s, 3 million end-users and driving 700 million
transactions per year.
Prior to Encap, Thomas was CEO at Luup, a pioneer in mobile financial services. In partnership with
leading international investors, he took the company from a small, technology driven B2C business
to a recognized global provider of innovative B2B mobile services for companies like Deutsche Bank
and MoneyGram.
Thomas spent the first 3 years of his career in TANDBERG Television, at that time the world leader in
technology and solutions for digital-TV broadcasting. Among other things, he was responsible for
developing and maintaining their large range of professional receivers. After TANDBERG he spend
another 5 years in the digital-TV market, delivering innovative products and solutions for the consumer
side of the market. Thomas holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The
Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTNU) and University of California (UCSB)
