Stuart Ray

Stuart has been involved in training and education for the Television industry for over thirty years.

He is currently Head of Skills and Development with IAMT (the global trade association for the Media Technology industry). In 2026, Stuart has led the launch of the IMAT Talent Portal (launching here at IBC), a completely free platform for current and recent students to amplify their skills to the media technology industry.

He was previously the Head of TV, Media Tech and Computing at Southampton Solent University, where he also taught Television Production.

As a passionate supporter of new talent in the industry, he believes there is a clear need for retraining and upskilling for both new and long-standing professionals in the industry.
