Sriram Sethuraman

CTO, Ittiam Systems
Sriram Sethuraman has been the Chief Technology Officer and Vice President at Ittiam Systems (P) Ltd. since May 2012. During his 15-year career at Ittiam, he has been the architect of its technologies and products in the fields of video compression, video communication, media broadcast, and computer vision and machine learning.  He was elected as an Ittiam Fellow in 2011. Prior to joining Ittiam, he served as a Senior Member of Technical Staff in the Interactive Media Group at Sarnoff Corporation. He is a a Senior Member of IEEE and a member of SMPTE. His areas of current research include next generation video compression, ML-based video encoding, VR technologies, and visual analytics applied to physical retail stores. He has authored / co-authored 31 issued patents (and several pending patents) and more than 35 publications. Sriram received his Ph.D in ECE from Carnegie Mellon University.
