Simon Eicher, Director Game Ecosystems Mobile, joined EFG in 2005 and has played a significant role in driving the worldwide growth of esports over the past ten years. In his early role he drove the global broadcasting and productions as an executive across the globe and did support the global event production team meanwhile helping local studios and teams to gain traction in their markets for state of the art broadcasts and productions. Having worked during that time on many work for hire projects, like Riots European LCS (today LEC), production services for Blizzard Entertainment like 8x BlizzCon, 5x World of Tanks Grand Finals, 2014 FIFA Interactive World Cup Finals, Intel Racing Tour, IEM Pyeongchang leading into the 2018 Winter Olympics and many more, Simon took the next challenge and focused on work for hire projects as Director Broadcast Esports Services from 2018 to 2020. With the pandemic hitting the industry he did support the setup of a global procurement structure and the first Gamers8 production in Riyadh, KSA from 2020-2022. Starting in 2023 Simon is taking the next challenge as Director Game Ecosystems Mobile in order to drive and accelerate the growth and capabilities of the EFG Mobile Ecosystem to create new ways of tournament play and participation. Simon will be able to offer a large amount of experience around Mobile Esports with many productions successfully delivered as executive the past years, like Supercell Clash Royale and Brawl Stars, PUBG Mobile Club Open Finals in 2019, Red Bull M.E.O. and many other shows and events.
