Saba Ahsan

Saba Ahsan is a Principal Research Lead at Nokia, where she focuses on the intersection of networks, media systems, and artificial intelligence. She holds a PhD in Networking Technology from Aalto University and brings experience spanning mobile network planning, media technologies, and communications research.

Saba chairs the 3GPP SA4 Real-time Communication Sub-Working Group and serves on the Steering Group of the 5G Media Action Group (5GMAG), contributing actively to standards and industry initiatives shaping next-generation media services. Her interests include media transport and systems, real-time services, immersive technologies, and, more recently, the evolving role of AI in networks and media systems and its impact on the future of media experiences.
