Rostam Kilgour

Rostam is a senior media technology and operations leader with over 20 years’ experience in live broadcasting, technical delivery, and editorial support. He currently leads RTÉ’s First Line Broadcast Engineering teams, where he drives workflow modernisation, strengthens system resilience, and advocates automation and virtualisation at Ireland’s national broadcaster.

His career spans both RTÉ and the BBC, where he managed operational teams, directed major news events in the UK, and gained wide-ranging experience across operational roles.

A strong advocate of data-led decision-making and continuous improvement, Rostam focuses on transformation, service reliability, and smarter ways of working. This drive led him to pursue a key role in the MCC Accelerator and the future of cloud-based media control.
