Robert Rotter

Robert Rotter is the founder and technical lead of Deviqon Labs, a Romania-based video engineering and cloud-native R&D company serving broadcasters, technology vendors and cloud providers across Europe, Asia and North America. With over 20 years in streaming, he has architected and deployed live and on-demand delivery platforms spanning OTT and IPTV protocols, DRM, forensic watermarking, Cloud DVR and video packaging, with deep hands-on expertise in GStreamer, GPAC, FFmpeg and VLC. Across his career he has led engineering and R&D delivery for Ateme, Anevia and Vidiator, covering product architecture, professional services and large-scale operator rollouts across multiple geographies. He now builds and leads the teams behind cloud-native media infrastructure, from early proof of concept through long-term maintenance to full product ownership, embedding engineers alongside client R&D groups to move projects from prototype to production. Robert holds a Master's degree in Computational Physics, which underpins the systems-level approach he brings to media engineering.
