Richard Lindsay-Davies

Chief Executive Officer, Digital Television Group (DTG)
United Kingdom

Richard Lindsay-Davies is Chief Executive of the Digital TV Group (DTG), the UK's independent Research and Technology Organisation for television and media.
Appointed by Government to chair the Future of UK Television Infrastructure Working Group, resulting to the recent Media Green Paper, Richard has led discussions bringing together broadcasters, manufacturers, internet service providers, platforms and technology providers to examine the practical implications of how television may evolve in the decades ahead.
But this role is not separate from his day job. It is a continuation of it.
Richard has spent more than 30 years working at board level across the television and technology sectors, helping the sector navigate periods of profound technological change. He has built a reputation for bringing together organisations with competing priorities to tackle practical challenges in ways that deliver real-world outcomes.
He has been recognised internationally for his contribution to the industry, including receiving an Emmy Award and being named Royal Television Society Leader of the Year 2024.
At a time when the future of television risks being reduced to simplistic headlines about "switch-offs", Richard brings a rare combination of technical expertise, commercial understanding and practical experience of building consensus across the industry.
