Phil Adlam

Phil Adlam is a UK technology leader, engineer and educator specialising in innovation for live experiences. Chief Technology Officer at Production Park and CoSTAR LiveLab, and Head of XPLOR. He leads research connecting industry and academia across live performance, screen production and immersive experiences.
Production Park supports global live entertainment experiences, from Coldplay, Beyoncé, Arctic Monkeys, Lady Gaga, Cirque du Soleil to Eurovision, Formula 1 and the Commonwealth Games.
A University of York graduate with a master’s degree in Electronic Engineering and Music Technology Systems, Phil has more than 20 years’ experience developing technology for the global entertainment sector. His work spans arena-scale audio, LED displays, virtual production, volumetric capture, immersive audio, production data and AI-enabled creative workflows. Phil established the UK’s first virtual production studio outside London. Under his leadership, XPLOR won the 2024 Global Production Award for Virtual Production Innovation at Cannes for Red Bull Racing’s virtual production pipeline.
