Mr Sunil

Mr. Sunil is a seasoned broadcaster and is currently serving as the President Emeritus of Broadcast Engineering Society of India (BES), President of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) & the Chairman of Engineering Council of India. He is also currently serving as Member Board of Governors of National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology GoI and as Member Board of Governors of Intelligent Transport Systems (India)

He has been the Additional Director General of India’s Public Service Broadcaster Prasar Bharati and the Vice President of world’s largest broadcasting Union Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union Malaysia. Serving the Public Broadcaster of India at the corporate level, he has headed the National and VVIP OB coverages, Technology Division, International Relations, Design and Planning divisions of Terrestrial Transmitters, TV Studios & Satellite, Global & Domestic Distribution, Direct to Home (DTH) Divisions, Marketing, Central Archives division and the External Services division of All India Radio.

With over 36 years of experience in the field of Broadcasting, Mr. Sunil has essentially worked with installation of Broadcasting Projects in India and overseas. He has been a Member of the Technical Advisory Group of ICC INSAT Coordination Committee) of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and is the winner of the Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) Broadcast Engineering Excellence Awards for 2018.
