Mohammad Ghasempour

Mohammad Ghasempour is a doctoral researcher in the Christian Doppler Laboratory ATHENA at the University of Klagenfurt, Austria. His research focuses on video coding, adaptive streaming, and efficient media delivery. He is particularly interested in developing practical methods that improve the quality, scalability, and sustainability of modern video systems. He has more than eight years of experience in video streaming and embedded multimedia systems, spanning real-time video processing, hardware-accelerated encoding, and adaptive streaming technologies. His work has received several distinctions, including the 2025 NAB BEIT Conference Best Student Paper Award and recognition as a Best Paper Candidate at IEEE VCIP 2024.
