Director General, NABA
Michael McEwen is Director- General of the North American Broadcasters Association (NABA). NABA represents the interests of North American Broadcasters to international forums and institutions on a broad range of issues including technology, intellectual property, broadcast policy, and regulations. He is also Head of Secretariat for the World Broadcasting Unions (WBU), which is the coordinating body representing the eight regional broadcasting unions worldwide (including NABA). Mr. McEwen has more than 45 years in the broadcast industry including a number of programming, production, and executive management roles with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), President of Canadian Digital Television (an industry association group with a mandate to transition to digital HDTV), President of the World Digital Audio Broadcast Forum (DAB), and Director and Chairman of Media Asset Capital (a media consulting company).
