Matthias Ziegler

Senior Scientist, Fraunhofer Institute For Integrated Circuits
I completed my studies on electrical engineering at the University of Erlangen in 2012 and I'm with Fraunhofer IIS since that time. Photography, especially HDR imaging, is one of my hobbies and slightly led me into the field of lightfield and computer vision. As a senior scientist within the group of Computational Imaging and Algorithms I'm responsible for various types of lightfield processing algorithms. This includes design and setup of new acquisitions systems but also development of specialized software for modern post-production workflow like NUKE. Special interest concerns calibration of multi-camera systems as well as integrating lightfield in virtual reality environments like Unreal Engine or Unity.
