Matthias Greve (50) is CEO of ABOX42, a leading supplier of operator solution for Service Providers in Smrt Set-Top-Box and Smart Home field. With more than 8 years expertise and knowledge in end-user mass-market products and deployment of over 40 operator projects, ABOX42 developed a new generation of Smart STBs for the global market. The ABOX42 Smart STB platform is the ideal solution for any IPTV & OTT provider, cable-operator and ISP, who is aiming to provide a compelling First Screen TV proposition to its customers. With the launch of the new end-to-end dotIO Operator Smart Home solution in 2017, ABOX42 firther enables operator now to increase revenues with a turn-key solution.Matthias Greve started in the hard- and software industry in 1983. In 1989, together with his brother Michael and in cooperation with FAST Electronic, the subsequent FAST Multimedia AG, he developed the products Screen Machine and Video Machine for the Apple Macintosh. These groundbreaking developments resulted in products which made it possible for the first time to digitally process and edit videos. Video Machine and Screen Machine were marketed in 70 countries and received 35 international technology awards.In 1994, Matthias Greve, together with his brother, founded the German internet portal WEB.DE. As chairman of the board, he brought WEB.DE AG to the stock market in 2000. In 2005 the business area WEB.DE was sold to United Internet AG; in the course of this, Matthias Greve also switched to United Internet as well.Within his responsibility as Executive Officer Portal of United Internet’s subsidiary 1&1, he streamlined the portal business under the brands WEB.DE, GMX and 1&1. In October 2008, Matthias Greve left then 1&1, in order to resume as entrepreneur and to found VideoWeb in 2009 and later ABOX42, which specialize in SmartSTB Solutions.
