Principal, Halford Media Advisory

For over 30 years, Mary Ann Halford has been actively building businesses in the media and entertainment industry in the US and internationally. She has been a strategy consultant, operator and board member.

Presently Mary Ann is the Managing Principal of Halford Media Advisory where she works with both companies and investors in the media and entertainment industry in the US and internationally. Prior to establishing Halford Media Advisory, Mary Ann was a Partner at Altman Solon, the world’s largest TMT strategy consultancy, from 2021 to 2023. She was also a Senior Advisor to OC&C Strategy Consultants (2017 to 2020) and a Senior Managing Director at FTI Consulting (2012 to 2017). Mary Ann was a key leader in building and developing FTI Consulting’s media and entertainment practice in both the US and EMEA, working largely with broadcasters and content production and distribution companies.

As an operator, Mary Ann has largely focused on the international production and distribution business, having run strategic planning and business development at the Samuel Goldwyn Company and Solomon International Enterprises, before joining the Fox Entertainment Group. At Fox, Mary Ann initially ran the Fox Latin American channels and subsequently established the Fox International Channels group. Mary Ann was also a Co-Founder of North American Midway Entertainment which acquired the leading midway operators servicing the state and county fair industry in North America.

As a board member, Mary Ann currently serves on the Board of Directors of Cineverse, Media and Games Invest and EightCo Holdings. In addition, she served on the Board of Directors of Triton Digital from 2007 through 2015. She also served on the Board of Directors for Vinco Ventures from 2020 to 2021.

Mary Ann is also a regular moderator at industry events for the media and entertainment industry in both the US and Europe.

Mary Ann earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.A. from Georgetown University, where she was also a George F. Baker Scholar. She is currently a Trustee of the Georgetown Baker Scholar Program.
