Martyn has worked in moving-image related industries (Television Broadcasting, and Security) since 1982. Martyn graduated from Ravensbourne's Television Department and joined LWT as a Broadcast Engineer. In 1991 Martyn started employment in manufacturing, which included Snell & Wilcox, and Miranda. In 2002 Martyn joined OmniPerception to develop an innovative product line that used advanced pattern recognition algorithms for analysing broadcast video content. Martyn is currently Course Leader in Broadcast Technology at Ravensbourne, and is an RI Patron. The societal impacts of technology, and in particular the spatio-temporal nature of the moving-image, are of significant professional importance to Martyn.
