Mark Horton is Strategic Product Manager, Media Processing within the Media Solutions business at Ericsson. In this role, he is responsible for coordinating and driving ultra-high definition TV (UHDTV) across Ericsson's media processing product lines which include encoding, transcoding and decoding in contribution, IPTV, cable, satellite DTH, DTT and OTT. Ericsson has helped to deliver a number of world-first transmissions of 4K and more recently, high dynamic range (HDR). The company has also scored prestigious industry awards such as the NAB Technology Innovation Award for its work on UHDTV. Mark joined Ericsson in 2011, and was responsible for the management of live encoding products for IPTV, cable, DTT, satellite DTH and contribution and distribution. Before joining Ericsson, he was Head of Product Marketing at media processing firm, AmberFin (now called Dalet AmberFin). Prior to this, he held senior positions at Quantel, where he led the company's compositing business line and digital film business, and Sony Broadcast, where he worked in the company's Post Production and Live Events product lines.  Over the course of his career, Mark has worked on products that span linear and non-linear editing, film scanning, film and video compositing, color correction, standards conversion, automated quality control, transcoding and encoding. These products have won more than 25 major industry awards including the Emmys, the Queen's Award for Export Achievement, the IABM Peter Wayne Award and the NAB Technology Innovation Awards.
