Mark Hooper

Mark is a media and entertainment consultant and solutions architect with more than 30 years' experience in broadcast and media technology. He currently works with Reuters, supporting the design and delivery of technology solutions for complex media environments.
His experience includes broadcast systems, media workflows, cloud platforms, systems integration, and enterprise architecture. He has worked on projects to modernise legacy systems, integrate platforms, and improve the reliability and efficiency of content production and distribution workflows.
As part of the Reuters TAMS team, Mark contributed to initiatives recognised with the 2025 IABM Industry Partnership Award at IBC and the 2025 Broadcast Tech Innovation Award for Best Innovative Use of Cloud.
During his career, Mark has worked with organisations including Bloomberg, Sky, the Associated Press, and the BBC. His work has focused on delivering practical, scalable solutions that meet the operational needs of media teams.
Mark holds a BEng (Hons) in Electronic Systems Engineering and is a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and SMPTE UK.
