Marion Rathmann

Group VP Content and Programming Networks, Warner Bros. Discovery

Based in Munich, Marion Rathmann serves as GVP Content & Programming Networks for GSA and BeNeLux at Warner Bros. Discovery, overseeing all linear channels and non-scripted streaming platforms across the GSA and BeNeLux regions. Her remit includes program acquisition, scheduling, rights management, and factual linear production.
Marion has three decades of experience in the media industry, bringing deep expertise in TV programming and content strategy. She began her career in 1992 at Tele 5, later holding key roles at DSF, RTL2, and tm3, where she contributed significantly to the channel’s launch. After her time at Sky and many years as Program Director at Tele 5, she transitioned into cultural management before returning to the media industry in 2014.
She joined Turner Broadcasting/WarnerMedia in 2015 and advanced to VP Entertainment Channels for Germany, Poland, Romania & UK before assuming her current role. She holds a degree in Library and Information Science and studied Communication Studies at the Free University of Berlin, complemented by advanced training in Cultural Management at the University of Music and Theatre Munich.
