Marcus Edel

Marcus Edel leads the machine-learning team at Collabora where he works on optimizing deep networks for inference, with a focus on embedded devices. Marcus completed his graduate studies with a focus on fast algorithms for core machine learning tasks applied to automated theorem proving. He has been involved in the development of the mlpack C++ machine learning library since 2015 and remains a core contributor today. With his support, the project has grown into a fully-featured library that has been used in numerous industrial applications and hundreds of research works, with more than 200 contributors worldwide.
