Luiz Fernando Kruszielski
Luiz F. Kruszielski was born on September 12, 1984, in Curitiba, Brazil. He graduated in Music with a specialization in Sound Production from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) in Curitiba, Brazil, in 2004. In 2011, he completed a Master’s degree, followed by a Doctorate in Sound and the Environment at the Tokyo University of the Arts, in Tokyo, Japan. His academic research in Japan focused on psychoacoustics and sound engineering, with an emphasis on how auditory and visual stimuli interact—particularly the perception of sound and vision merging in immersive environments.
Luiz began his professional career as a sound designer in 2003, working across artistic, commercial, and broadcast projects. In 2013, he joined the Globo TV Network in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, as a researcher in sound technologies. He later became a Sound Producer, where he was the technical lead for sound in more than 400 episodes of drama series and telenovelas, contributing significantly to the auditory identity of many of Globo’s top productions.
Currently, Luiz works as a New Technologies Specialist at Globo, focusing on innovation in audio-visual content creation through artificial intelligence. His work includes the development of synthetic voice technologies, speech-to-speech systems, and AI-powered tools, and creative workflows for general content creation for broadcast and OTT.
