Lewis Smithingham is the EVP of Strategic Industries (Media, Entertainment, Gaming & Sports) at Monks. A problem-solver who identifies innovative digital opportunities, Smithingham helps usher industries, brands, and partners into the future with creative and technical expertise at the forefront of digital transformation and virtualization. Lewis focuses on technology transference across industries, leveraging his background in VFX and film/game production to build new products, tools, and technologies. Smithingham is a Lumière award winner and a Guinness World Record holder. He has been profiled in The New York Times and Campaign, and has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, Business Insider, Sports Video Group, Ad Age, and many others. Lewis was named to Business Insider’s list of the top “24 agency executives leading advertisers' charge into the metaverse and Web3.” Smithingham sits on the World Economic Forum working group on AI Governance & Value Creation in the Metaverse. He is a sought-after speaker, taking the stage at the NVIDIA GPU Technology Conference, Sports Video Group Summit, Siggraph, CES, NAB, IBC, and IAB –– to name a few. In his spare time, Lewis is a volunteer Police Diver for Youngsville, North Carolina EMS, and enjoys long, deep dives on his rebreather.
