Lee Davison began his career under the bonnet of cars in a local garage before trading spanners for soundwaves. A degree in Sound Engineering – with a special focus on acoustics – fuelled his love for technology, problem-solving, and the “magic” that happens when media and engineering collide.
Now a Course Leader at Southampton Solent University, Lee leads the Live Event Technology course within the Media Technology group. He’s launching two new degree programmes in 2026 - BSc Media Technology & Virtual Production, and BSc Live Event and Audio Engineering - and takes pride in teaching, debating, and inspiring the next generation of engineers. Nothing makes him prouder than seeing graduates out there making live and broadcast media happen.
