Julien Le Tanou

Julien Le Tanou is a video technology expert and head of Video Research at MediaKind, formerly Ericsson Media Solutions. In this role, he is responsible for leading research, innovation and software development into video processing, compression, and associated encoding technologies. He held similar R&D roles at Ericsson following the acquisition of Envivio in 2015. Since 2012, he was with Envivio in charge of research and algorithms design for Envivio's SW video encoding solutions. Prior to Envivio, he was with Orange Labs in France and Dolby Laboratories in USA, where he conducted research and development for next generation of video coding standards. He received the MS degree in Signal and Image Processing from Telecom Paris, France in 2010, and the MSc degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering from Institut Superieure d’Electronique de Paris, France in 2008.
