Dr. Jean-Paul (J-P) Heron is Vice President of the ARRIS suite of Titanium Conditional Access and Unified Rights Management security products within the Company's Network and Cloud division. Heron has been involved in the security industry since 2003 as part of the pioneering software conditional access solution developed by Latens Systems.  Heron has been deeply involved in helping develop software security from its early start-up days to its current state of widespread acceptance, and has influenced the changes in those markets driven by DRM and multiscreen adoption. Prior to his current role, Heron was leader of the product management and strategy team for the Pace global software and services group, responsible for security and middleware for the organization. He has held leadership roles in strategic partnerships, technical sales and engineering, and has participated on leadership committees on patents and M&A at both Pace, and now, ARRIS. Dr. Heron holds a bachelor's degree in electrical and electronic engineering and a PhD in digital signal processing from the Queen's University of Belfast.
