Joshua Maraval

Joshua Maraval is a research engineer specializing in image processing and machine learning. He is currently completing his PhD at IRT b<>com in France, focusing on developing advanced volumetric video systems using Radiance Field technology. His research involves capturing multi-view data for volumetric video applications, exploring solutions for radiance field reconstruction stability and quality evaluation through objective and subjective tests.

Joshua holds dual master's degrees from INSA Rennes in France and the University of Strathclyde in Scotland. His research experience includes novel view synthesis from radiance field methods, traditional depth-image-based rendering for 360° images interpolation, and 3D convolutional neural network for brain tumour segmentation from MRI scans.
