John Hogan

John Hogan is the Chief Technology Officer of Streaming at Nine, where he oversees the technology strategy, engineering, and infrastructure for Australia’s premier streaming platforms, Stan and 9Now. With over 20 years of experience in online media and digital architecture, John has been a driving force behind the evolution of the Australian streaming landscape. In 2014, John joined the founding team of the SVOD start-up Stan. As a foundational leader, he helped take Stan from an initial concept to a market-leading platform supporting millions of active subscribers. His work pioneering highly scalable, cloud-native software and infrastructure design has been widely recognised for establishing benchmark reliability in high-concurrency live sports and entertainment streaming. In his expanded role as CTO of Streaming, John unites the technology and engineering roadmaps of Stan and 9Now, driving cross-platform innovation, scalable cloud infrastructure, and next-generation video delivery for Nine’s entire digital streaming portfolio.
