Jeeva Raj Arumugam, Senior Principal Engineer at Ittiam Systems Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru, India. He has 16+ years of experience in the field of video processing across several video standards like MPEG4, VC-1, H.264, H.265, AV1 and VVC etc. He has expertise in developing video encoder algorithms such as Rate control, Look ahead video processing, QP modulation algorithms for practical encoding applications. He has contributed to the standardization effort of Versatile video coding and has several patents filed in the related area. Expert in video data analytics especially on multimedia capabilities on client devices in Android ecosystem. Currently involved in the exploration work of compression beyond VVC in the JVET group. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Government College of Engineering, Tirunelveli (India).
